Canteen for staff at Sheremetyevo airport

At Sheremetyevo Airport there is a canteen for employees, where you can eat cheaper than in establishments for passengers.

Where is the canteen for employees of Sheremetyevo Airport?

The canteen for Sheremetyevo airport employees is located in the old international terminal F.
To the left of the central electronic display is the Fridays cafe, and next to it are the elevators.
You need to take the elevator to the 5th floor. The dining room itself is located on the 4th floor, but the elevator does not go there.
On the 5th floor, exit the elevator to the left and go through the door, then go down the stairs to the 4th floor.
On the landing of the 4th floor you will see two doors. Enter the left door.
There is a sign inside: to the left is a restaurant, and to the right is a dining room. You need to go to the dining room.
The staff canteen at Sheremetyevo Airport operates on a self-service basis. Take a tray and help yourself to food. Then you pay at the checkout. The average cost of a full lunch is 200 rubles.

A tourist and a local resident in any city in the world rarely intersect: the first one walks along beaten paths and “necessary” places, stands in queues at museums and eats dubious food for a lot of money. A local resident avoids all this, always knowing the shortcut and the “right” places. An airport is also, in fact, a small city, the little tricks of which every frequent flyer knows. Today we will tell you a little about Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport.

Aeroexpress from Belorussky Station or from Okruzhnaya is by far the fastest way to get to the airport and back (although a taxi may be cheaper if you are not alone), but it is most convenient if you are flying through terminals D, E and F, and in city you need to the center. ( By the way, from the arrival area of domestic flights D, it is faster to get to the Aeroexpress through the international transfer corridor, simply turning back, reaching the passport control booths). If in Moscow your starting or ending point lies in the northern part of the city, then it may be more convenient to travel by on the bus– and for some it will be a plus that it is more than 10 times cheaper.

As for terminal B (), the walk from the Aeroexpress to it is quite long and inconvenient, going down into the underground inter-terminal passage, which is quite far from the station, so there is a better way. From Savelovsky station for 92 rubles you can take the train (they run several times an hour) to Lobnya station (and from Okruzhnaya it’s even cheaper). Here, take bus 21 (the stop to the right of the exit from the platform), which goes directly to the airport (another 34 rubles), and, as a rule, without traffic jams. As a result, an hour after departure from Savelovsky you are in terminal B. An important nuance: the bus does not drive up to the terminal itself, but to a multi-story parking lot (this is the final stop). Go straight into the parking lot and follow the signs and take the escalator to the 4th floor. From here you go through a covered passage directly to the third floor of the terminal, to the check-in area. In terms of time, this is comparable to Aeroexpress, but more than 3 times cheaper. Leave for the city in reverse order.

As for buses 817 and 851 to and from the metro, when traveling on them you should take into account the risk of losing a lot of time in traffic jams on Leningradskoye Shosse. At the same time, you should remember: from terminals D, E, F, bus 851 goes directly to the city (to the Rechnoy Vokzal metro station), and in the city it is better not to take it to the final stop, but to get off earlier at the one that opened in December 2018 Belomorskaya metro station to avoid stuck in traffic jams.

The 817th to Planernaya from D, E, F on the way to the metro makes a victory lap past terminal B, so you will arrive at the metro much later. On the contrary, you will get to these terminals faster from Planernaya, since bus 851 from Rechnoy Vokzal will first go to Terminal B (but the minibus from the same metro station will not). At night, you can also get to the airport and back by night bus N1, which travels from the Kitay-Gorod metro station with intermediate stops on Leningradsky Prospekt and highway. Another way is bus 62K (suburban on the Strelka card) from/to the Khimki station, from where you can take the train to the Leningradsky station, you just have to remember about the daytime breaks in their schedule (but you can get there in the morning and evening without problems) . This bus never gets stuck in traffic jams because it does not travel along the Leningradskoe Highway.

Once upon a time, you could try to push your personal car under the Aeroexpress overpass or leave it on the side of the road - now this will not be possible, there is a small free parking lot only at Terminal A, and in other places there are tow trucks. However, in the area of the airport there are quite a lot of paid parking lots starting from 100 rubles per day: the further from the terminal, the cheaper, however, from distant parking lots (the cheapest is P12) there is a free transfer to the airport.

It’s more convenient to use car sharing: in the multi-storey parking lot of terminal D you can park “Delimobil”, “Belka” and “Yandex.Drive” cars, and in the parking lot of terminal B you can park “Yandex.Drive” and “Matryoshka” cars. Keep in mind: in the parking lot of Terminal B, the networks of mobile operators are very poorly received, you may have to open a reserved car or end the rental by connecting to Wi-Fi (it is there, but with authorization by mobile number, so think about it in advance). To leave, you need to go to the ticket office in the central part of the building near the elevators (look for pillar B1-6); there is no ticket office at the exit barriers! But in D it is right at the exit.

Without traffic jams, you can get to the airport via the M11 toll highway, it costs 400 rubles; a traffic jam in Khimki can “gobble up” about the same amount of money when using a per-minute car sharing tariff.

If you went to the airport by Aeroexpress, then the first thing that awaits you is a crowd and a line at the security check at the entrance to the terminal. The wait may last about 20 minutes, but it can be avoided if, upon reaching Burger King, you go down the stairs or take the elevator to the first floor. Here in the corner lurking forlornly another security checkpoint, about which no one knows, and there are never people there. After security, you can go right and follow the esclator to get to the terminals E and F, or left to take the elevator to the gallery leading to the terminal D.

By the way, about galleries. Terminals D (the international part), E and F are connected to each other by pedestrian galleries and in a clean area. That is, after going through passport control and security in one terminal, you can fly out of another. This is convenient because in different terminals both of these “cordons” are organized differently: the largest queues are in F, the fewest people, as a rule, are in E, so you can also save a little time by going through security in another terminal. However, this life hack does not always work: sometimes, when they see that you are flying out of another terminal, the border guard sends you there. In addition, luggage (if any) will still have to be checked in at “your” terminal at the check-in desk or Drop-Off.

When transferring from Terminal B to Terminals D, E and F, you travel in a separate carriage of the underground inter-terminal train and rise from it directly to the “clear zone” between Terminals D and E. To get there, go through the baggage claim hall to the end: there There will be passport control and pre-flight inspection, followed by descent into the terminal. It doesn't work the other way around; you need to join the queue with passengers departing from Terminal B.

Keep in mind: if you have a transfer between terminals, it may take longer than you expect. If you linger in queues at passport control, the underground train and pre-flight inspection, you may not have time to reach the gate. At the same time, Aeroflot basically closes the door in your face exactly 20 minutes before departure, and even if you had a transfer ticket with one reservation, the airline will remove you from the second segment without any compensation, citing the fact that since such a ticket has been sold, This means that the connection time has been calculated and you yourself are late. Therefore, do not buy tickets with a connection between terminals of less than 2 hours: this is fraught.

With sockets in all terminals the situation is sad: there are single, not always working power supplies in the clean area in the area of the columns (always take a tee with you, because in 99% of cases the outlet will already be occupied by someone). Also in the clean area there are charging stands with connectors for different phone models. Unfortunately, there is nowhere to sit near these stands.

Concerning food, then at traditionally high “airport” prices you can eat anywhere (however, in terminal F there is a relatively budget “Burger King”.
In Terminal F on the first floor (arrivals) on the right, in the common area, you can buy a pretty decent Americano for 55 rubles and water at regular city prices.
However, this is not as interesting as the establishments on the 4th floor of Terminal F (before security): this is a restaurant "Fifth Ocean" with a panoramic view of the airfield (but no photography is allowed there), where in most cases you will be the only visitor, and also a wonderful dining room for employees with “canteen” trays, “canteen” food like sour cream in glasses and eggs with mayonnaise and, most importantly, “canteen” prices. Not only employees, but also everyone is allowed there. By the way, earlier in this dining room you could have a great night's sleep (for those who are comfortable sleeping on chairs), but now, according to the latest data, it has switched to round-the-clock operation. The main thing is to take the correct elevator with the sign “For employees” (it is on the right), since the one on the left does not stop on the 4th floor.

However, it is better to sleep on couch chairs in the clean area of Terminal B. This terminal also has an excellent food court: a little expensive, of course, but the food there is of high quality and everything is beautifully decorated: it will be pleasant to sit.

Smoking is officially prohibited at Sheremetyevo Airport, but in Terminal B there is a special IQOS demo area where you can smoke these rags, and in the Rublev business lounge in Terminal B on the second level there is a secret smoking room for lovers of regular cigarettes: this is a door without identification signs near the sign saying WC. There's even a TV inside! There are also secret smoking rooms in the Kandinsky business lounge for passengers with Priority Pass and in the Moscow lounge in the international area of Terminal D.

Secret cafeteria for airport employees

Passengers who do not want to spend large sums on a snack in a cafe can eat in the canteen for airport terminal employees. But you will have to spend some time searching for it. Information about the establishment can only be found in the list of airport organizations.

The secret dining room at Sheremetyevo is located in terminal F on the 4th floor. You need to look for the road to it by following the signs. The landmark is the departures and arrivals board, behind which there are 2 elevators. Depending on which of them you get into, the further search path will depend. The left one will take you straight to the 4th floor. The desired point is located opposite the Fifth Ocean restaurant.

The right elevator does not stop at level 4, so you need to do this:

  • go up to the 5th floor;
  • go down the stairs (to the right of the elevator);
  • Of the 2 doors on the site, choose the left one.

A board with signs for food outlets will be right in front of your eyes. Free-Flow Cafe is the right goal. It works on the principle of free distribution.

The staff canteen at Sheremetyevo is open 24 hours a day. Not only employees of the complex, but also airport passengers can dine here. The menu includes a large selection of traditional dishes, our own baked goods, and drinks. The hall can accommodate large groups of visitors.

Food prices are in the double digits. Lunch of 4 items will cost 200-300 rubles per person. A cheap canteen in Sheremetyevo is worth the time spent searching for it. Here you can have a budget-friendly and tasty meal away from the hustle and bustle.

Catering establishments help pass the waiting time in airport areas. They are available in abundance in every terminal. Food prices are significantly higher than average, but it is still possible to find a place where you can eat cheaply in Sheremetyevo.

Although “man cannot live by bread alone,” we cannot live without food. Therefore, on flights with long layovers, you need to think in advance where you can eat tasty and inexpensive food at the airport.

I recently changed planes at Sheremetyevo. I studied this issue theoretically. In practice, since I can go for quite a long time without a good portion of food, being content with snacks, I didn’t have to use the knowledge. There's a big meeting coming up soon. Therefore, I refresh my knowledge and share it with you.

On our penultimate visit to Sheremetyevo, I was busy with the child when my husband, without asking me, decided to take us a snack. As a result, he paid about 400 rubles for tea and a bun... Not an excusable waste... I told him that you can get a hot drink from a vending machine (coffee, cocoa) for much less. And for a substantial meal there is a dining room.

Price list in the canteen of Sheremetyevo airport. Photo June 2016.

The word “dining room” is gradually going out of use. But reviews from the Internet about the canteen in Sheremetyevo suggest that you should not be afraid of this term.

So where is this cafeteria located? In terminal F, we stand with our backs to the entrance and see the board.

When we are facing the elevators, we have this picture on the left.

There are elevators on both sides. We turn to those on the left. We need to go to the 4th floor of the terminal. There is a cafe-dining room “Free-Flow” and a restaurant “Fifth Ocean” (this one has a view of the airfield). In the elevator you need to click on the 5th floor (!). We exit the elevator to the left. We go to the stairs and go down to the 4th floor! We see a Pepsi sign with right-left arrows - restaurant-cafe!!!

I am making changes to this theoretical knowledge after “practical experiments”! There are elevators in different places. And there is a “4th floor” button near the manicure counter!

Appetizing? In the canteen of Sheremetyevo airport.

Price list 2015-2016: milk porridge “Hercules” (250 gr.) = 50 rub., boiled egg = 15 rub., scrambled eggs (2 eggs) = 45 rub., curd pudding (150 gr.) = 80 rub., cottage cheese pancakes (150 gr.) = 80 rub., fried sausages (1 pc.) = 45 rub., boiled sausages (1 pc.) = 45 rub., pancake with sour cream (150 gr.) = 80 rub., green peas (100 gr.) = 25 rubles, buckwheat porridge (125 gr.) = 40 rubles, snack bun (30 gr.) = 4 rubles, rye bread (20 gr.) = 2 rubles, dried fruit compote - 30 rubles, tea = 27 rubles…. Quite democratic. Especially in comparison with that bun for 400 rubles.

The opening hours of the cafeteria at Sheremetyevo F are 24 hours a day.
